Letter To The Idiot Who Stole The KCRR Sister Station Truck’s Catalytic Converter
This letter is just an open letter to the idiot who decided that out of all the catalytic converters to steal in the metro-Quad Cities, the best option was one belonging to a media company.
Also, if you wouldn't mind, check out the surveillance footage to see if you recognize this dunce.
Dear Jackass,
We try our best to take care of our vehicles here at the Rock 'n' Roll Mansion, and we try to put them together in a way to make a statement that lets you know "The radio station is here!" For the 97X truck, this is a large lift kit and big tires.
Apparently, height is also the downfall of the X truck, and it's also apparent that other people don't care whether or not our station vehicles are well maintained.
Hairball went out to the truck last week to drive it to a crash we'd been tipped off about, and when he started it up, about soiled his pants. The truck was loud, in a way it never had been.
He crawled under the truck to find that you had removed one of the catalytic converters.
We know that you know what you're doing because the cuts were clean, as well as the cable to the sensor.
If you need to know what a Catalytic Converter looks like, here's what one for our truck looks like, which runs about $1500.
Here's Dwyer's artist rendering of our truck's catalytic converter. If you see it, please nicely tell the person that if he returns it and reinstalls it tonight, we can all just move on with our day.
You did, however, forget to look around. Take a look at the truck again. What's that say on the wall behind it?
That's right, buddy. Read the sign.
We hope that you get whatever you absolutely needed out of that $100 or so you got from the scrap. If you needed the money this bad, you could've just reached out, and we would've pointed you in the right direction to get the help you need.
If it's rent you're worried about, we have a feeling that you won't have to worry about that for a while, since Davenport Police sound like they're willing to put you up for a little while.
Sincerely,
97X
