Blues lovers are thrilled at the news that legendary Buddy Guy will perform at McGrath Amphitheater on Friday August 30.

Co-headlining the show will be Kenny Wayne Shepherd, himself no slouch when it comes to blues riffs.

Buddy Guy concert tickets go on sale this Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the US Cell Center box office, and Ticketmaster.com

At 82 years old, George "Buddy" Guy is one of the last living legends of Chicago blues greats.

His style of playing has influenced many rock artists from Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Buddy also owns one of the most famous blues concert clubs in downtown Chicago named "Legends".

The title of Buddy Guy’s latest album is The Blues Is Alive and Well. It's his eighteenth solo LP and a follow-up to 2015’s Born to Play Guitar that showcases his raw and unadulterated sound.

Buddy Guy is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee,and has received 7 GRAMMY Awards, a Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award, 37 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, a Kennedy Center Honor, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts.
