Kids Event Offers Free Dental Care in Cedar Falls
If you missed it in The Courier, Kimbal & Beecher Family Dentistry is offering dental care for children in need on February 18th. They've partnered with the Black Hawk County Health Department’s I-Smile Program to help with preventive dental care and cleanings by appointment.
Between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., kids will get cleanings and x-rays as well as Flouride treatments, as well as corrective dental like fillings for cavities.
Where can you get your kid's free teeth cleaning?
Give Kids a Smile in the Cedar Valley Day will be located at 4501 Prairie Parkway in Cedar Falls and by appointment only.
If you're uninsured due to lack of work or unable to find a dentist who will accept Iowa Medicaid, this is a chance to have children between the ages of 1-13. If you're having difficulty getting the kids to a dentist because of transportation, that is also available through your Medicaid enrollment. On the back of your Medicaid card, call the member service phone number and you can schedule a ride, but it must be scheduled at least three days in advance of the appointment.
If you'd like to schedule an appointment for Give Kids a Smile in the Cedar Valley Day, call Kimball and Beecher Family Dentistry at (319)-235-6287.
