Judas Priest Stopping in Quad Cities on “50 Heavy Metal Years” Tour
Judas Priest is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a tour through North America. The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will be making a stop at the TaxSlayer Center this fall.
Originally formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England Priest were responsible for helping trail blaze metal with their songs‘Sad Wings of Destiny’ (1976) ‘Sin After Sin’ (1977) and ‘Hell Bent for Leather’ (1978) as well as one of the genre’s top live recordings ‘Unleashed in the East’ (1979) among others.
The group went on to bring hits like:
- You've Got Another Thing Coming
- Breaking the Law
- Living After Midnight
- Turbo Lover
- The Hellion / Electric Eye
Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill and Scott Travis will all be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame later this year as part of Judas Priest.
The group will be joined by Queensryche for this tour, making for a great night of heavy metal.
Queensryche has brought home three Grammy's in their career for their albums "Operation: Mindcrime" and "Empire."
They would go on to tour with names like Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses and Metallica.
Judas Priest and Queensryche will be swinging through the TaxSlayer Center on October 29th, 2022.
