Waverly To Open First of Its Kind Retail Space
Locals will be able to check out a new sort of retail space in Waverly very soon.
Late last week, news came out that downtown Waverly will be opening a fun spot for local businesses to sell their products. It's called the Waverly Market and this new space looks like it will be similar to NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids.
The minds behind the Waverly Market want the new market "to provide the community with a more individualized shopping experience!"
The market is located at 123 E. Bremer otherwise known as the old BE Mick building in downtown Waverly. This space looks like it is turning into the perfect place if you're looking to shop local.
Initially, the officials behind the operation said that the Waverly Market would be open Thursday and Friday from 11am to 6pm as well as Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Staff will be changing this around a bit to accommodate vendor interest.
The space is set to have a "soft opening" on Saturday, November 12th from 9am to 5pm. If you are vendor and are interested in setting up shop at the Waverly Market, make sure to reach out to the officials behind it. You can do that through the Waverly Market Facebook page or via email: downtowndreamers0710@gmail.com.
All it costs to be a part of the market as a vendor is a $35 fee per day. This fee will get a vendor two six-foot tables, two chairs, internet and utilities.
