Patrons of one of Iowa's many Texas Roadhouses may notice a few changes the next time they decide to dine on unlimited rolls and a 12 oz ribeye. Supposedly several changes are coming to the popular steakhouse.

Did you realize how many Texas Roadhouses are in Iowa? After doing a quick search on Google, there are 11 in the Hawkeye state! Maybe it has something to do with the amount of pork that Iowa produces but that seems like a decent amount for the population size of Iowa. For example, Minnesota has close to 2 million more people than Iowa and there are only 9 Texas Roadhouses in our neighboring state to the north.

There are 2 locations in the western half of Iowa, 5 in the Des Moines Area/Central Iowa, and 5 locations in eastern Iowa!

We can expect these changes as the restaurant tries to react to supply chain issues.

What's New?

Don't worry, you won't be losing out on your unlimited rolls but there is a chance you see a slight increase on your bill the next time you're ready to pay. According to Valley News Live, there will be a 2.2% increase in products begining this spring as Texas Roadhouse tries to "offset inflationary pressures."

These changes aren't all bad. The restaurant also plans to open more Texas Roadhouses in 2024 which will be about 10% larger in size. The goal of the size increase is to potentially serve more customers, efficiently.

New Tech

Patrons may also notice some technology upgrades at their favorite Texas Roadhouse in 2024. Texas Roadhouse plans to move away from its standard ticket system and will be adding screens to the back of the kitchen areas. The goal of these screens is to help keep track of orders and cook times with more accuracy.

Food and drinks will also no longer be the only items sold at Texas Roadhouse. The restaurant also plans to begin selling cups, candles, shirts, and socks!

I don't know about you but I didn't realize I needed a pair of Texas Roadhouse socks until just now. Here Texas Roadhouse, take my money.
