News came out earlier this week about a popular food franchise making its way to Iowa. Guy Fieri has become one of the most popular and recognizable fixtures in the food industry.

Fieri is a celebrity chef, restaurateur, New York Times Best Selling author and Emmy Award-winning TV host. He rose to prominence through his smash Food Network hit show 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.'

Now, the mayor of Flavortown is going to be bringing his business to Iowa. Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino officials announced that they will be opening Guy Fieri's Kitchen + Bar at their location.

"The celebrity chef brings you his big, bold flavors and tasty twists on comfort food. Bring your appetite and get ready to dine," reads the restaurant write-up on the casino website.

This restaurant is a part of the 'Guy Fieri's American Kitchen & Bar' which is described as a more casual dining experience. It features some of Fieri's signature dishes such as championship BBQ.

The restaurant will be opening up in Harrah’s Casino in Council Bluffs. Harrah's already has three restaurants at the casino.

Here are the eateries that are already located at the Council Bluffs casino:

  • SLICE PIZZERIA
  • 360 STEAKHOUSE
  • STIR COVE BACKSTAGE GRILL

Most of the details about WHEN the restaurant is opening are unknown. The eatery's hours of operation and full menu is expected to be announced closer to the actual date of the grand opening. According to the business' page on the casino website, they are encouraging people to follow them on social media to stay up to date.
