The Cedar Valley is bringing in some stellar acts for one of the biggest events of the summer.

Cedar Valley Pride is back and this year the organizers have a jam-packed two-day festival planned.

This event will celebrate the diverse LGBTQ+ community in Eastern Iowa.

Cedar Valley Pride Fest is set to take place in Downtown Waterloo around West 4th Street during the last weekend in August.

Event organizers brought in several major names this year. 'American Idol' standout David Archuleta will be one of the headliners.

His song 'Crush' debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold more than 2 million digital copies to become double platinum.

Another big name set to perform at the event is one of the original members of the Pussy Cat Dolls, Carmit. Local favorite Alizabeth Von Presley will also be performing one night.

There will be drag shows and drag performances all throughout both days on the main stage.
