Caitlin Clark’s Rookie Season Ends: What’s Next for the WNBA Star?

After an exciting few months, Caitlin Clark's rookie season in the WNBA has come to a close.

The former Iowa Hawkeye helped take the Indiana Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. During the first round of the playoffs all of the qualifying eight teams participated in a best of three game series.

Indiana was paired off with #3 seed Connecticut Sun during this first round series.

Unfortunately, the young team were burnt by the Sun.

Clark and the Fever lost 69 to 83 during the first game and 81 to 87 in the second.

Now, they are all officially out of the playoffs.

Clark's Rookie Season Accomplishments

After having such a breakout first season in the WNBA, it's easier to ask, 'what hasn't she done?'

What Will Caitlin Clark Do Now?

Most players in the WNBA usually are sent overseas to play for foreign teams.

However, in a press conference after the Fever's loss to the Sun, Clark was asked what her plans are now that the season has come to an end.

She admits that she had not been thinking that far ahead, her mind was set on beating the Connecticut Sun.

Now she's got another sport she wants to focus on.

"I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow or what I'm going to do the next day. So, maybe play some golf, " Clark said.

"That’s what I’m gonna do until it becomes too cold in Indiana. I’ll become a professional golfer.”

Due to her popularity and all of the deals she's struck with major brands like Wilson, State Farm, and Gatorade; there's a chance she might stay in America.

It was confirmed that the 22-year-old West Des Moines native will NOT be playing in any professional league during the off season.

There's a very good chance that we won't see Clark playing basketball until April of 2025.
