With Halloween right around the corner, that means it's about to be prime time for a ghost tour.

A popular ghost tour in Cedar Falls will return this year, but with a few exciting new additions.

The popular Historic Downtown Cedar Falls Ghost Tour returns for a fourth year!

On this ghost tour, you'll be told the haunted happenings by Cedar Falls local history expert Lauren Riensche. She put together this tour after talking with locals who have spent their entire lives in the area.

During its first year, I attended one of the Halloween night ghost tours put on by Riensche. Not only does this gal know her stuff about the area, but she's a fantastic storyteller!

This year the classic tour will be back, but there will be a new addition. In 2023, there was a culinary experience added to this ghost tour and it's set to return this October.

The latest addition to the Historic Downtown Cedar Falls Ghost Tour is partnering with the Odd Fellows Lodge #233 for exclusive spooky access.

Here’s a breakdown of the different experiences you can sign up for:

The Tour

This is the classic walking ghost tour around Downtown Cedar Falls. It is approximately one hour and one mile long.

The House

The organizer behind the Historic Downtown Cedar Falls Ghost Tour is giving you exclusive access behind the most haunted building in Cedar Falls, the Odd Fellows Lodge #233.

This is available as an add-on for the classic tour ticket holders.

The Spire and the Cedar Falls Ghost Tour are partnering up again this year! If you sign up for this experience, you'll get to experience a private ghost tour, followed by a gourmet meal at the Black Hawk Hotel.
