Fall is here! And in Eastern Iowa, you can tell by the trees and the ground, which is covered in fallen leaves.

As fall colors settle over the Cedar Valley, the Cedar Falls Public Works Department is reminding residents about yard waste collection and leaf removal options available throughout the city.

Cedar Falls Yard Waste Pick-Up Information

The city provides automated yard waste collection using brown carts equipped with radio tags that track service dates and times.

Each time a cart is emptied, a $10 fee is added to the customer’s utility bill. During April, October, and November, that fee is reduced to $5.
