Wisconsin is One of the Top 10 States in The U.S. for This Sport

Do you ever travel to play any sport? Most of us aren't high-level, elite athletes, but some sports can still require travel.

A few years back, I played softball in a town known for its adult softball leagues, and it attracted players from 40+ miles away.

Wisconsinites (or Cheeseheads) can now lay claim to having a top 10 state for one of the most popular sports.

If you're a golfer, this will make you happy, you're close to one of the best states in the U.S. to golf!

According to a new list of the top states for golfers, Wisconsin squeeks into the top 10 at... number ten.

There are some major pluses... the state boasts 528 courses, most of them open to the public. The site mentions the ease and affordability of many Wisconsin courses, and highlights the beauty the state offers at many corses.

The knocks against Wisconsin are largely the seasons and how hard (or impossibe) it is to golf certain times of the year.

Other than Michigan, no other Midwestern state registered in the top 10 for golf states.

4. Florida
5. Michigan
6. New York
7. North Carolina
8. Ohio
9. Oregan
10. Wisconsin

If you're not a golfer, you can likely still appreciate the beauty of a nice golf course. Oh, and it's an excuse to drink beer outside... that's a win in my book.
