Youth Football Player Steals the Show at Packer Practice [WATCH]
I might be a bit biased, but there is no other NFL franchise like the Green Bay Packers. They just do things differently in Green Bay. The NFL's smallest market team has a rich history of traditions no other team can lay claim to. One of the most recent traditions is an event called Family Night.
Each year the Packers host their annual Family Night scrimmage for fans at Lambeau Field. Tickets are just $10 and fans get to watch their favorite team go through a full padded practice including 11 on 11 drills between the offense and defense. This past Saturday, over 60,000 fans packed Lambeau Field for the 23rd Family Night with the Green Bay Packers, according to WLUK. And while fans were excited to see players like Jordan Love, Rashan Gary, and more, it was another young player who stole the night!
A local youth football team got to spend some time on the field at Lambeau on Saturday night too. One of those players, Trace Ramirez, was invited to shag punts from an NFL punter. How nervous would you be in front of 60,000 people trying to catch a football kicked by an actual NFL player? Well, Trace didn't catch just ONE punt...
With Packer players and coaches cheering him on, Rameriz went on to catch THREE punts in a row all without dropping a single football! After he caught the third punt, the entire Packer team surrounded him and celebrated his accomplishment. Is it too soon to sign this kid to a contract? Football, family, and the Green Bay Packers. It doesn't get any better than that!
