Two New Girl Scout Cookies Will Be Available Online Next Year
The Girl Scouts have done it again! This week, the organization announced two new types of cookies for the 2027 cookie season... one for humans, and one for DOGS!
Patch Pals™
Let's start with the first ever Girl Scout Cookie produced specifically for man's best friend. They're called Patch Pals, and they're a soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored treat. The name Patch Pals comes from the cookie's shapes, which resemble classic Girl Scout patches.
The Girl Scouts teamed up with the company BARK to produce their new dog cookies, and the BARK website goes into a little more detail about the partnership. It reads:
"Girl Scouts has spent generations helping girls build courage, confidence, and character, and giving them the tools to go make the world a little better. BARK has spent ours making dogs impossibly happy. Together, we wanted to make room in cookie season for the family member who's been waiting patiently by the door the whole time."

Girl Scout Sparkables™
The new Girl Scout Cookie for humans is also a bit of a game changer. They're called Girl Scout Sparkables, and they were made for people with food allergies. Sparkables are crunchy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with colored sprinkles, and they're a collaboration with Partake Foods.
According to the company's website, all of Partake's products, including Girl Scout Sparkables, are free of the top nine food allergens. Those allergens are eggs, dairy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, fish, shellfish, and soy.
Cookie Availability
Girl Scout Cookie availability sometimes varies by region, but both of these new cookies will be available to everyone via Digital Cookie. According to the official Facebook page for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, Sparkables and Patch Pals will be "available online only this upcoming Girl Scout Cookie Season." The 2027 Girl Scout Cookie Season will begin in mid-January. More information will be released as the season approaches.
