Iowa Men’s Basketball Lands a Sharpshooter in the Portal
Ben McCollum and the Iowa men's basketball team have landed one of the top three-point shooters in the nation.
Hawk Fanatic reports that Brendan Hausen, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, has become the eighth player to commit to Iowa since Ben McCollum became the new head coach in Iowa City. Hausen fills a huge need for Iowa...three-point shooting.
Iowa lost Josh Dix and Pryce Sandfort in the transfer portal. Both were threats from the outside. Hausen will help fill that void. Hawk Fanatic reports that Hausen averaged just over 10 points per game last year for Kansas State and shot 39% from three-point range. He is also an 81% free-throw shooter.
Hausen will provide another stellar backcourt teammate for Bennett Stirtz, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and one of the top point guards in college basketball. Stay tuned Iowa fans...coach McCollum isn't done adding talent yet!
Welcome to Iowa Brendan, and LET'S GO HAWKS!
