The Iowa Men’s Basketball Team Debuts New Uniforms
A new era of Iowa men's basketball deserves a new look!
The Iowa Hawkeyes begin the Ben McCollum era on November 4th at home against Robert Morris, according to Hawk Central. In fact, Iowa's first five games of the new season will be played at Carver Hawkeye Arena! Iowa will have a new-look team with many unfamiliar faces. But they'll also be showing off some new threads!
Hawk Central reports that the Hawkeyes debuted their new uniforms yesterday in a video featuring Iowa players Cooper Koch, Cam Manyawu, and Tavion Banks.
OK, let's be honest. It isn't like Iowa changed its color scheme or logo, for that matter. Hawk Central reports that the white jerseys and shorts feature black and gold trim around the neck, arms, belt, and bottom of the shorts. Personally, I think they look pretty good. But would you have noticed the change if the team didn't announce it?
A new coach, a new team, a new look. I personally can't wait for Iowa basketball this year!
Hawk Central reports that after Iowa's run of five home games in a row, the Hawkeyes will head to Palm Springs, California. They'll take on Ole Miss on November 25th, and Grand Canyon or Utah on November 26th.
Iowa will tip off Big Ten play against Michigan State on December 2nd, and also make a trip to Ames to take on the Cyclones on December 11th.
