New Cedar Rapids Harbor Freight Will Have a Grand Opening This Weekend

According to a recent article from the Corridor Business Journal, the official grand opening for a new Harbor Freight Tools in Cedar Rapids is coming up in just a few short days!

Harbor Freight's new store in Cedar Rapids is located at 4840 1st Avenue NE, the former home of Bed Bath & Beyond. The company announced in a press release back in early April that the newest Iowa store had begun hiring, and was hoping to open its doors this spring. The press release reads:

"We’ve been looking to open another location in Cedar Rapids for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community. In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great Associates in the Cedar Rapids area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team."

The new article from the Corridor Business Journal reports that the 1st Avenue store will hold its grand opening this Saturday, June 15th. Although, a call to the store has confirmed that it has already been open to customers for the past couple of weeks.

This is the third Harbor Freight in the Corridor, with other locations at 3750 Williams Blvd SW in Cedar Rapids and 260 Highway 1 West in Iowa City. Harbor Freight stores are open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can read more about the new location HERE.
