A Couple of New Restaurants Have Opened at Lindale Mall

Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids has undergone a few changes over the past few months, including the addition of two new places to eat!

Over the weekend, I made a quick trip over to Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids to grab some things from Spirit Halloween (which has moved to the lower level of the mall) and Bath & Body Works. While I was there, I realized just how long it's been since my last visit. There are quite a few new additions to the mall that I hadn't heard about! One of those additions was a cool little shop called Wolf Den Marketplace, which opened back in FEBRUARY. I'm not sure how I missed that!

Another new addition to Lindale Mall is a non-profit called the New Bohemian Innovation Collaborative, Inc. According to the mall's website, NewBoCo's new space offers "interactive skill-building in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship for regional K–12 students, alongside dedicated programming for adult entrepreneurs and small business owners." It just opened last month on September 19th.

Now, let's talk FOOD. There are a couple of new places to eat at Lindale Mall that have opened within the last few weeks. One of them is inside of the food court, and the other is inside of its own storefront outside of the mall. We'll start with the one inside of the mall: QDDOGS!

About QDDOGS

Located inside of the Lindale Mall Food Court, QDDOGS is a new vendor that offers all-beef hot dogs, Chicago dogs, Polish dogs, burgers, and fries. The business got its start earlier this year as a pop-up food vendor around the Waterloo-area, but announced back in June that they were looking to move into a permanent location. In September, they announced that permanent home would be inside of Lindale Mall!

As of October 2nd, QDDOGS is now open Wednesday through Sunday during the mall's business hours. It's also available to order for pick-up or delivery via DoorDash. For more information about QDDOGS or to check out the menu, you can follow the official Facebook page HERE.

About Crab House

The other new eatery to open at Lindale Mall recently is an actual sit-down restaurant that already has a couple of successful locations here in the Corridor! It's called Crab House Seafood Boil & Bar, and it's located outside of the mall's food court entrance in the former home of Lindale Neighborhood Tap, Olde Brick House, and Boulder Tap House.

Crab House, which is best known for its Cajun seafood boils, began welcoming customers to their Lindale location on Monday, October 5th. The restaurant's hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. There are additional Crab House locations at 2360 Edgewood Rd SW in Cedar Rapids and 945 25th Ave in Coralville.
