Cedar Rapids Seafood Restaurant Expands to Johnson County

Seafood-lovers in Eastern Iowa now have another dining option! According to a recent article from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, Crab House Seafood Boil & Bar has opened a second Corridor location, this time in Johnson County.

About Crab House

Crab House Seafood Boil & Bar first opened in the Corridor back in October of 2023. It's located at 2360 Edgewood Road SW in Cedar Rapids, the same strip of buildings as Great Clips, Wingstop, and Napoli's Italian Restaurant.

As the name suggests, Crab House specializes in seafood. The menu consists of everything from crab, lobster, and shrimp, to oysters, squid, and alligator! The restaurant is best known for its Cajun-style seafood boil, which contains several different types of seafood, as well as add-ons like sausage, corn, and potatoes. You can choose from one of the menu's combos, or you can completely customize your boil with the "make your own combo" option. Some of the other items on the menu include wings, salad, rice & noodle dishes, and a wide variety of fried foods.

Crab House Coralville

On November 26th, Crab House posted on social media that their second Corridor restaurant is officially open! It's located at 945 25th Ave in Coralville, which is just outside of Coral Ridge Mall in the Coral Valley Shopping Center. Neighboring businesses include Haveli Indian Cuisine, Cold Stone Creamery, HuHot Mongolian Grill, and Pancheros.

Crab House held its grand opening on Saturday, November 22nd, and they thanked their future customers for all their support. An opening day Facebook post reads:

"Thank you so much for your continued patience and understanding throughout the delays leading up to our opening day. We know it hasn’t been easy waiting, and we truly appreciate your support every step of the way."

Crab House in Coralville is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. For additional information, visit the restaurant's Facebook page HERE.
