The First Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Event of 2025 is This Friday

Who's ready to FEAST?!

This Friday, May 2nd, Greene Square Park in Downtown Cedar Rapids will be lined with food trucks for the 2025 Freedom FEASTival. Here's everything you need to know about the big event!

What/When is the Freedom FEASTival?

According to the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival's website, the Freedom FEASTival is "a celebration of local culinary delights from food trucks and community vendors." In addition to the vendors, the event will also have live music, yard games, and kids activities. The festival will kick off on Friday at 11 a.m. and run until 8 p.m.

Who Will Be Performing?

Here is the official live music schedule from the Freedom Festival website:

• 12 p.m. - New Horizons Band
• 1 p.m. - Mira Gibbons (Violinist)
• 2 p.m. - Orchestra Iowa
• 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. - 42 Romeo (The 34th Army Band, Iowa National Guard)

Does it Cost Any Money?

Admission into the festival is free, but you will have to pay for your food from whatever food trucks/vendors you choose to visit.
