Cedar Rapids’ New Casino Announces First Shows for 2026/2027

The brand new Cedar Crossing Casino in Cedar Rapids made some big announcements this week! At a special event held at NewBo City Market on July 30th, the casino revealed all of the acts that have been booked for The Event Center and Jocko's Comedy Club in the coming months.

The Event Center Lineup

Here are the 13 shows and events that are scheduled for the casino's 1,500-seat event center for 2026 and 2027:

  • Saturday, January 16th at 8 p.m.
• Eli Young Band
  • Friday, January 22nd at 8 p.m.
• Switchfoot
  • Saturday, January 23rd at 8 p.m.
• Comedian James “Murr” Murray
  • Friday, February 5th at 8 p.m.
• Ying Yang Twins and Paul Wall
  • Saturday, February 6th at 8 p.m.
• Parmalee
  • Friday, February 26th at 8 p.m.

Tickets for all the concerts and comedy shows that have been announced go on sale to the public on Friday, August 7th at 10 a.m. The official press release says that more entertainment announcements are expected in the coming months.

The Opening Date

According to KCRG, the opening date for Cedar Crossing Casino has been moved up. It was originally supposed to open on New Year's Eve, but because construction is ahead of schedule, its now set to open in mid-November. The grand opening celebration is set for Friday & Saturday, December 4th & 5th.
