Cardinals Star Auctioning Off Belongings In Huge Moving Sale
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to live like one of the highest-paid professional athletes in the world, wonder no more.
St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball. He retired this past season after one final magical season with the Redbirds. Now that his playing days in St. Louis are over, Pujols is selling properties and many items located inside them. Fox2 reports that include things inside his Kansas City-area home. A huge moving sale is set to get underway later today, and everything not being sold with the home must go!
Michael Fry with Brown Button Estate Sales told Fox2 that it is always a unique situation going into a famous person's home and handling their property. He added that it is exciting for the public.
There’s a lot of excitement from our shoppers getting to go into someone so notable, seeing their house and their items, and getting the opportunity to purchase something.
Fry says that all items in Pujol's home are priced to move. So what exactly can people expect to purchase? Unfortunately, there are no amazing pieces of sports memorabilia in the home. We're guessing Albert has those in storage. But what you can bid on are the furnishings inside the home, right down to the art hanging on the walls! Brown Button has a complete list of what you can purchase HERE. You can also take a video tour of the house!
Fox2 reports that the sale gets underway today, but if you want rock-bottom prices you might want to wait as the discounts get bigger the longer the sale goes.
- Tuesday 9 a.m. - all items at full price
- Tuesday 3 p.m. - remaining items discounted 35%
- Wednesday 9 a.m. - remaining items discounted 50%
- Wednesday 3 p.m. remaining items discounted even more!
You could eat at the same kitchen table or sleep in the same bed as a surefire MLB Hall of Famer! That doesn't sound creepy at all...does it?
