National Fried Chicken Day – Where to Find the Best in Eastern Iowa
In honor of National Fried Chicken Day on July 6th, we're taking a look at some of the best chicken in Eastern Iowa!
Personally, my favorite place for chicken is Bluff Lake Catfish Farm in Maquoketa. The best day to visit the restaurant is on Sunday, which is when they offer all-you-can-eat chicken and shrimp!
If you ask the Des Moines Register and the Iowa City Press Citizen who has the best fried chicken in Iowa, some of their suggestions for our half of the state are:
- Sugapeach Chicken & Fish Fry - 650 Pacha Pkwy, North Liberty
- Ox Yoke Inn - 4420 220th Trail, Amana
- Breitbach’s Country Dining - 563 Balltown Rd, Sherrill
- Royceann's Soul Food - 947 Highway 6 E, Iowa City
