Nevada Man Arrested in Iowa for Child Endangerment
A Nevada man has been detained by authorities in Iowa after leading police on an overnight chase while in possession of drugs and with kids in his vehicle.
KCCI reports that the man was arrested in Dallas County, Iowa after leading police on an overnight police chase through multiple cities in the Hawkeye state.
34-year-old Rupert Lee Boehling of Sparks, Nevada reportedly did not stop when officers tried to detain him in Waukee. Boehling was reportedly driving 80 mph in a 70 mph zone and had children in the car during the chase. Boehling was driving a Chevy Tahoe and eventually came to a stop in front of the Urbandale Public Library, where he allegedly told police he was in possession of Oxycodone. Shortly thereafter, Boehling was taken into custody.
Boehling is charged with child endangerment, injury, possession of a controlled substance, eluding, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to stop at an assured clear distance.
He was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
