There was no Vin Diesel, but amazingly, there were also no injuries reported.

According to the Des Moines Police Department on their Facebook page, two hit-and-run drivers left a "block-long trail of destruction" and while, amazingly, no injuries have been reported, there has been at least one family displaced.

KCCI says that the street race gone wrong happened on East 14th Street on the city's northside. One car lost control at Guthrie Avenue striking cars and homes, while the second car lost control and crashed.

Both drivers fled the scene after the race and the crash and ran off on foot. Police are now seeking assistance in looking for the drivers. One driver was reportedly behind the wheel of a Silver 2018 Chrysler 300 and the other a Black 2020 Dodge Charger.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the DMPD Traffic Unit at 515-323-8375.
