We asked for pictures, and you delivered!

As part of Brain & Courtlin's 12 Days of Questions, we asked listeners to share with us their favorite photo from 2023. It could be a photo that they look or a photo that they were in. Some of the photos didn't need an explanation, but many of our listeners took the time to tell us the stories behind their favorites pics. From weddings to engagements to babies to vacations, here are some of the photos submitted by Eastern Iowans:

The story behind my favorite photo from 2023 is a bit of a sad one. Back in early February, my family threw my mom a big 60th birthday party. My brother Connor, who shares a birthday with my mom, came to the party to celebrate, even though he was going through a difficult time. We took a family photo of the three of us that day, not realizing that it would be the last photo we ever took together. My brother passed away suddenly in September, so looking at the picture is definitely bittersweet. Still, I'm thankful that it was taken.
