That's right, the Iowa State Fair will play host to one of the biggest rock bands to ever walk this earth. KISS!

KISS, one of the most influential rock and roll bands of all-time is well known for its face paint and stage outfits. Rising to fame in the 70s, their concerts focused on elaborate live performances with fire breathing, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, pyrotechnics and more.

KISS holds honors as one of America's top gold record champions, selling over 100 million albums worldwide in their 40 year career. KISS' career milestones are staggering, boasting decades of record-breaking tours around the globe. Notable moments include appearances at Super Bowl XXXIII, the 2002 Winter Olympics, the 2005 Rockin' the Corps concert for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and performing on 2009's American Idol finale to 30 million viewers.

KISS joins the one-of-a-kind 2016 Iowa State Fair Grandstand Concert Series with other top entertainment already announced; Newsboys with special guest Francesca (August 11), Brett Eldredge (August 13), Jason Derulo (August 14), Dierks Bentley with special guest Tucker Beathard (August 15), Rock Hall Three For All: Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick (August 16), An Evening with Jeff Dunham (August 18), Steven Tyler and The Loving Mary Band (August 20) and Lady Antebellum and special guest Kelsea Ballerini (August 21).

New this year, the Iowa State Fair staggered on-sale dates for Grandstand shows throughout the months of February – May, instead of a one-time on-sale date in April. Order your tickets through Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.

All concert events are reserved seating. Beginning July 5, the Fair's Ticket Office will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday for walk-up orders only (assuming tickets remain; no mail, phone or fax orders). Convenience charges apply. Grandstand tickets do not include Fair admission.
