Brennik Sapp from Ottumwa, Iowa is already doing his part to help others at the age of nine. Over the weekend, Sapp put up a lemonade stand selling yummy drinks, candy, and even cookies to the community. Thanks to Brennik, the help of Ottumwa residents, and some delicious lemonade, $1,000 was raised. That's a nice profit for a nine-year-old.

Some kids his age would've wanted to run to the nearest store and pick out a new toy, bike, or just save the cash for themselves. Not Brennik. KYOU reports that he plans to donate the money to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. Brennik told KYOU, "I just wanted to help kids get better and get out of the hospital.” If that doesn't melt your heart, I don't know what will.

Brennik seems to have plans to continue the lemonade stand too, as he's already thinking of ways he can improve it. He told KYOU reporters that he'll be keeping the candy, but wants to "step the cookies up a notch". His mom may have some work cut out for her.

It's really cool to see kids not only think of others, but go out of their way to do things for others too. If this is any testimate to Brennik's work ethic, and kind heart, this kid is going places. And to raise $1,000!? That just may be the most profitable lemonade stand in Iowa history. Nice job Brennik! You can read more on the story here.
