The University of Iowa has announced the 10th member of its ANF (America Needs Farmers) Wall of Honor. We look back at the other nine and add #81, the second former Hawkeye receiver of the 10 to be recognized.

Congratulations to Tony Moeaki for becoming a member of the ANF Wall of Honor at Kinnick Stadium. Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz said today,

"The ANF Wall of Honor is comprised of several great former Hawkeyes, but when it comes to the true meaning of ANF and celebrating the work ethic and character shaped by Iowa’s farming heritage, you’re hard-pressed to find anyone who worked harder than Tony Moeaki. Tony earned accolades for his play on the field, but he was also a natural leader. His fight and determination to overcome injuries and adversity while getting stronger and improving his game earned respect from those who knew him, and that dedication and drive is what ANF is all about.”

According to the University of Iowa Sports Information Department, Moeaki was a 5-star recruit when he committed to the Hawkeyes. He saw action during his freshman season and, despite an injury-plagued career, had 76 catches for 953 yards and 11 touchdowns in Iowa City.

Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, Moeaki played 5 seasons in the pros. In his first two seasons in the NFL, both with Kansas City, Moeaki had a combined 80 catches for 1009 yards.

Moeaki will be honored Saturday, October 1 when Iowa hosts the Michigan Wolverines.
