Guy Illegally Parachutes from a Cell Tower, Gets Stuck on Wire, Calls 911 on Himself (audio)

A 20-year-old guy from Wisconsin attempted to illegally BASE jump from a cell tower.

It was a 300-foot AT&T fixture in the city of Menomonie. The end result: Someone called 911 after his parachute got stuck on the tower and he was left dangling 50 feet above the ground.

Who called 911? He did. He called 911 on himself.

Authorities came to his rescue & had to use a “cherry picker” to free him from the wires. He was hanging there for about an hour before he was rescued.

He was charged with felony criminal trespass.

He faces up to six years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine if convicted.
