Frederika Man Dies In Bremer County Crash

A Frederika man was killed in a single-vehicle accident accident in Bremer County Saturday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol identified the victim as Eugene Lampe, 76.

Authorities said Lampe was traveling westbound on Iowa Highway 93 when he lost control of the Nissan Pathfinder he was driving. The SUV entered a ditch and rolled several times, coming to rest on its top. Lampe was ejected from the vehicle.

According to a crash report, Lampe died at the scene. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

The accident happened around 9 AM Saturday near Usher Ave., just west of Sumner.
