The ball diamonds are silent now at Deerwood Park in Evansdale, but they are soon to be bustling with action as the Evansdale Youth Sports Association (EYSA) gets their season going starting in early June. <!--more-->

The EYSA youth softball and T-ball 2020 season will be played with registration going on now through Saturday (see below for the schedule).

These fun leagues are open to all children in the Cedar Valley area and surrounding communities! Parents, it's hard to find fun, inexpensive things to keep keep your kids active this spring and summer, so sign your child up! Registration fee is $25 (discounted for this year only) and team T-shirts are provided.

There are divisions for all age groups, for both boys and girls..."Pre-K" through 12th grade and a co-ed “Mixed League” for high-school aged kids. Practices and games are held on either Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday evenings. All games are played at Deerwood Park in Evansdale.

Sign up schedule:

Wed. May 27th  – 4:30-7:30pm
Thurs. May 28th - 4:30-7:30pm
Fri. May 29th - 4:30-7:30pm
Sat. May 30th – 9am-1pm

***Sign-up will be held at the ball diamonds in Deerwood Park in Evansdale***

Notes for sign-ups:

  • Please do not bring your kids (with the exception of Mixed League players)
  • Social distancing protocols will be followed – you do not have to wear a mask – but you are welcome to if you so choose
  • Bring your own pen
  • No late sign-ups

If you have any questions, please contact an EYSA board member – (do NOT contact Evansdale City Hall)  For t-ball, all children must turn five years old before Sept. 15th, 2020. Proof of age required.
