Elkader Teen Injured in Fayette County Accident

Fayette County sheriff's officials are investigating a one-vehicle accident that put an Elkader teen in the hospital.

Authorities received a report of a car that had rolled into a ditch, just south of Elgin around 6:45 AM on Wednesday (Sept. 26, 2018).

According to officials, a car driven by Jordan Kline, 18, was northbound on Cedar Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve. Kline's car left the road, entered a wooded area, then rolled several times, coming to rest on the driver's side.

Kline was able to get out of the wrecked car and call for help. He was taken to the hospital in Elkader for treatment.
