
Eastern Iowa Rollover Sends Driver to the Hospital
A one-vehicle rollover accident in eastern Iowa, has put a young Marshalltown man in the hospital.
It happened at about 1:30pm Sunday (Sept. 24) in the westbound lanes of Highway 30 at 80th Street, north of Fairfax.
A vehicle driven by 18 year old Freddy Enriquez of Marshalltown, went out of control in a construction zone, then rolled several times in the median, coming to rest on it's top.
Enriquez had to be extricated from the vehicle; he was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids with non-life threatening injuries. According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, Enriquez was wearing a seatbelt.
Enriquez is being charged with failure to maintain control and driving with a restricted license.
The accident is still under investigation.
