Driver Arrested After Rolling Her Vehicle In Bremer County

A northeast Iowa woman has been arrested, after rolling her vehicle in rural Bremer County last weekend.

Authorities have charged McKenna Meinecke, 20, of Tripoli, with first-offense operating while intoxicated. She was also cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle.

The accident happened in the 2700 block of Whitetail Ave., east of Tripoli, just before 8:30 PM on Saturday (May 12, 2018).

Sheriff's officials said Meinecke was driving south, when she lost control. The vehicle rolled, then came to rest in the roadway.

A passenger, Kurtis Walvatne of Tripoli, was taken to the Sumner hospital, with apparent minor injuries.

Bremer County sheriff' deputies investigated the crash and were assisted by Oran First Responders, Oran Fire Department, Fairbank Ambulance, and Fairbank Fire Department.
