Doctors Warn Against The ‘Put Erection Cream on Your Lips’ Technique
Why do people see something on the internet and think, "Oh, I just have to try that."
Jerry Maldonado posted a video on TikTok showing his new technique to get plumper, fuller lips.
The video shows him smearing on a cream that's designed to help men get... engorged.
He left the erectile cream on his lips for about eight minutes, until it started "burning really bad." He wiped the cream off his lips, and of course they were puffed up.

"I kinda like it, I'm not gonna lie."
The video has more than 3.5 million views. Now, doctors are warning people not to do it.
Dr. Ross Perry, among other doctors, have spoken against trying the method, saying ‘Putting erection cream on your lips in a bid for a fuller pout is utterly ridiculous and can be extremely dangerous for a number of reasons.'
"Individuals trying this could suffer an allergic reaction such as stinging, soreness, blisters and uncomfortable swelling," He said. "Other side effects from the absorption of the cream as it goes into the body can create headaches, blood pressure problems and even possible heart problems. The cream could also flare up cold sores if you’re prone to them already."
Even if you're still willing to try the cream to achieve the puffy lips, keep in mind this is erection cream, so the effects only are going to last a few hours, at best.
