After trailing for nearly 24 minutes, top-seeded UNI mustered a comeback and held off Bradley on the final possession to secure a 46-45 victory in the first quarterfinal of the women's Missouri Valley Conference basketball tournament in Moline, Ill., on Friday (March 11, 2016)

Senior guard Madison Weekly was the hero for the Panthers, tallying 22 points, including going a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line. Weekly scored the final nine points for UNI (21-9), putting the Panthers up by three with 2:10 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Braves cut the deficit to one on an Anneke Schlueter with 1:47 left on the clock, but failed to convert on their final few possessions, sealing the victory for the Panthers.

Junior forward Leti Lerma led the way for the Braves, collecting her second consecutive double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while sophomore Tamya Sims also scored in double figures (10).

UNI prevailed despite tallying the fewest points of the season (46). The Panthers finished the game shooting just .311 (14-of-45) from the floor, also their least efficient performance of the season.

UP NEXT: The Panthers will face No. 4-seed Southern Illinois in the first semifinal game at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday (March 12).
