The game against the Chicago Steel is a big one in the United States Hockey League Anderson Cup battle (best regular season record). Waterloo sits third overall trailing Chicago by one standing point. The Steel lead the Eastern Conference and trail the Sioux City Musketeers for the best record in the USHL.

Saturday's theme is “Building a Winner for the Cedar Valley Night.” The Black Hawks will recognize the volunteers of Heartland Habitat for Humanity and their efforts. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game, and proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity.

“Generations of Black Hawks players have had a hard-working mentality which has endeared the team to our hard-working fans,” said Black Hawks Vice President of Business Operations Joe Greene. “The people of the Cedar Valley also consistently display a selfless and outgoing spirit, which our organization has also long sought to reflect.”

“The Waterloo Black Hawks continue to be a great partner with Habitat,” noted Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity Communications Director Lindsay Pieters. “We are excited that Habitat will be featured with a unique jersey design. Proceeds from the auction will help a local family buy an affordable home, which has a lasting effect for the family and for our community. The support from the Black Hawks and their fans is appreciated and makes a difference.”
