Black Hawks Stay Hot, Home Saturday Night
The Waterloo Black Hawks continued their solid play Friday night, and they continue to be a player in the Anderson Cup chase.
The Waterloo Black Hawks beat the Sioux Falls Stampede Friday night (04/06/2018) 4-3, and extended their streak of scoring at least one standings point to 13 games (9-0-3-1). Another win against the Stampede Saturday night at Young Arena would eliminate the team from Sioux Falls, SD as a threat to the Western Conference regular season championship.
Two other teams remain in the hunt for the United States Hockey League's Western Conference crown. The Omaha Lancers have won their last five games on Friday, and remain only one point back of the Black Hawks in the Western Conference standings. The Fargo Force won Friday night as well, and they sit third overall just five points back of Waterloo.
Only one team in the USHL's Eastern Conference stands in the way of Waterloo's bid for the Anderson Cup, which is awarded to the team with the best regular season record, and it's the team leading the way. Team USA holds a one-point advantage over the Black Hawks for the Anderson Cup title.
Waterloo and Sioux Falls meet again Saturday (04/07/2018) night at Young Arena. Doors open at 6:05 PM, and the puck drops at 7:05 PM. There are still plenty of great seats still available for game. Visit the Black Hawks Box Office in person or visit WaterlooBlackHawks.com for tickets.
