Champion Wrestler Gives the Most Mullet-Tastic Interview Ever

09

This guy wants to take all the hair haters down for the count. Of course, he’s an Iowa Hawkeye, so that makes everyone scared of his hair.

The University of Iowa’s Sammy Brooks capped off his recent victory in the 184-pound division at the Big Ten championships with this laugh-out-loud interview in which he paid homage to his mullet.

I think these fans just respond really well to a good haircut. That’s what I was working on coming in here, making sure I had it fluffed and feathered the right way, and I think the fans saw my hard work.

It’s refreshing to see there are fans out there who appreciate a good haircut and it’s not relegated solely to these hockey heroes.

Brooks wasn’t done, either, when it came time to praising the power of his follicles.

I gain trust every time my hair grows a little more and a little more. I trust in myself and my mullet. It’s a process, you know. You can’t grow a great mullet in a day, (and) you can’t win a Big Ten title in a day.”

With sound bites and showmanship like this, we think Brooks ought to consider the WWE when his competitive wrestling days come to an end.
