Here's some songs to "rock out" to this Mother's Day with your mom, (she's cool right?) she loves classic rock!

In the past, we've done a list of classic rock songs associated with Halloween and that was pretty extensive. But for Mother's Day, the list isn't near as big.

As we celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, here's our list of classic rock songs with "mother", or "mama" in the title:

Mama We're All Crazee Now - Quiet Riot
Mama I'm Coming Home - Ozzy Osbourne
Mama Kin - Aerosmith
Mama Told Me Not Come - Three Dog Night
Mama Said - Metallica
Your Mama Don't Dance - Poison

Mother - Pink Floyd
Mother - Danzig
Mother - John Lennon & the Plastic Ono Band
Tie Your Mother Down - Queen
Mother's Little Helper - Rolling Stones
Mothers of the Disappeared - U2
Mother and Child Reunion - Paul Simon
Your Mother Should Know - The Beatles

Plus, there's these songs singing about "dear ole' mom"...

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man - Mom's are always good for some advice...
Mama told me when I was young,
come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say,
And if you do this, it'll help you some sunny day"

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody - and, of course, there's this all-time classic...
Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, oh oh

Thin Lizzy – Philomena - Why this song you ask?
After Phil Lynott passed away on January 4, 1986 at the age of 36. Phil summed up his affection for his mother (Philomena) in the following few lines of this beautiful mother’s day hymn:
And if you see my mother
Tell her I’m keeping fine
Will you tell her that I love her
And I’ll try and write sometime

I'm not crying, you're call your mom on Mother's Day and tell her to crank up 97-7 KCRR !!!
