Cedar Falls Police Investigating Armed Robbery

Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Cedar Falls Saturday night (Dec. 1, 2018).

The incident happened around 11 PM in a residential neighborhood a few blocks away from the University of Northern Iowa campus.

Police said they were called to the 1900 block of Olive Street on a report that a woman was confronted by a man with a gun. The victim told police that a man with small handgun threatened her, then took her purse and fled the area.

Authorities are searching for the suspect.
