Cedar Falls Man Arrested On Sexual Abuse Charges
A Cedar Falls man is accused of sexually abusing a girl on multiple occasions, in exchange for personal favors to her.
Police have charged Jerry Evans, Jr., 54, with three counts of third-degree sexual abuse in connection with the incidents. Evans was arrested on the charges and booked into the Black Hawk County jail on Tuesday (May 8, 2018).
According to authorities, an investigation into a report of sexual abuse involving an adult male and a minor female began on April 2. Police said they determined that Evans was performing sex acts with the minor female in exchange for favors.
The sexual encounters allegedly had occurred repeatedly throughout the girl's life.
If convicted, Evans faces up to 30 years in prison and the possibility of $30,000 in fines.
