The Cyclone fan who's beer money campaign has turned into big bucks for the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, will be at this Saturday's Hawkeye game in Iowa City. Carson King says he would like to be there to be part of the famous 'wave' from Kinnick to the young patients in the children's hospital waving back.
King's original goal was to score a few bucks to buy some Busch Light, but he's now raised (with Bush Light and Venmo's committed donation match) over $1 million dollars. King says that by the end of September he would like to have raised $2 million dollars, though he isn't sure he even needs to set a goal.

At the halfway point we hit $1 million, so I’d like to see $2 million total... But I really don’t have any goals. Everything I’ve set, it’s just been shattered — all my expectations.

Many business have joined in as well besides Busch Light and Venmo, including Prairie Meadows Casino and Hotel, the company for which King works as armed security.

To avoid any issues, the corporate donors, like Busch and Venmo, are giving directly to the hospital, King said.
