Body Found In Waterloo Cemetery Identified
Authorities have identified a body found in a Waterloo cemetery over the weekend, and they're investigating the death as suspicious.
Waterloo police have confirmed the deceased person is Lakisha Williams, 40, of Waterloo, who was reported missing on Wednesday (Jan. 24, 2018).
According to police, Williams was last seen around 5 PM on Jan. 20 near her home in the 3800 block of Paige Dr. Her body was discovered Friday afternoon along a back road at Garden of Memories off Logan Ave. (U.S. Highway 63).
On Monday, police said an autopsy performed by the Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office positively identified the body.
Waterloo police have confirmed that Williams' death is being investigated as suspicious. Officials haven't released any other details related to the case.
