Sioux Falls' Brian Chambers scored at 8:21 of overtime to give the Stampede a 2-1, series-clinching victory in Game Four of a USHL Western Conference semifinal at Denny Sanford Premier Center.

While Chambers’ goal was the winner, it was Max Crozier’s game-tying score with just over four minutes left in regulation which fit the pattern of the playoffs. For the third time in six postseason games, the Stampede capitalized for a crucial goal in the final ten minutes of regulation as the result of a two-man advantage. From just left of center in the deep slot, Crozier blasted in a one-timer at 15:55, teed up by Anthony Romano.

For the series, Sioux Falls had 36 power plays in four games. Their only goals came in two-man advantage situations, during which they recorded goals on three of five opportunities.

Waterloo’s only goal came on a power play in the second period. Jacob Bengtsson slung a pass from the left circle to Kyle Haskins for a re-direction at the opposite side of the crease at 14:01 of the second. The Black Hawks would have only one more chance on special teams, finishing the night one-for-five and ending the series seven-for-23.

The Stampede now advance to meet the Tri-City Storm during the USHL Western Conference Final Series.
