Willie Ray's Q Shack is run by Willie Ray Fairley. His Mississippi flair and southern style has become a Cedar Rapids staple over the past few years.

The business offers catering and even has a food truck. Willie has a shack location at 288 Blairs Ferry Road NE, but for a long time customers haven't been able to sit down and eat.

Now, the business is taking an exciting step forward!

On Friday, June 9th Fairley shared that he would be doing a "test run" that day to see how smooth their sit-down operation could be.

"We don’t believe in doing traditional things," Willie Ray Farley shared in a statement on social media. "...that’s why you may think we're all over the place."

This new eatery is located at 266 Blair Ferry Road NE which is less than a mile away from the original location. On Wednesday, June 21st, Willie Ray confirmed that the new location was open for business.

Willie Ray's little shack will remain closed for a few weeks until they get the new location up and running. The hours for this new eatery will be 11am to 5pm.

"Stop on by bring a friend, bring your family, bring anybody... Dat Right!"

Roseanne Barr Abandoned Iowa Mansion in Eldon, IA

I fell into a rabbit hole when I found out that Roseanne Barr almost had a mansion in Iowa. After seeing the current state of the property on Facebook, I was amazed that such an extravagant project could be so quickly overtaken by nature. Only two hours away from Waterloo, this abandoned field could have hosted some of the coolest and elite Hollywood parties in the Midwest. The current photos were taken by Gable Fry on a recent trip he took.
