Burls Art out of California has quite the knack for making kick-ass PLAYABLE guitars from random objects like: 1,200 colored pencils, 800 pieces of paper, 14 skateboards, 5,000 coffee beans, and more.

This time, he’s changed things up by building an electric bass guitar, using about 2,000 LEGO bricks to form its body.

Each LEGO brick was individually glued in place and set in epoxy resin. The hard maple core provides the added strength required to hold the neck in place.

The entire thing weighs just over seven pounds. That’s it!

He calls his Guitar Artwork: Guitart
