
Tripoli Man Dies From Injuries In August Accident
A northeast Iowa man has died from injuries he sustained in an accident that happened just over a month ago in Bremer County.
James Cole Sr., 76, of Tripoli, passed away at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport on Monday (Oct. 1, 2018). According to his obituary, Cole ) died from the injuries he suffered in an Aug. 30 crash. The accident happened at the intersection of County Roads C-33 and V-14, just north of Waverly.
Sheriff's officials identified Cole as the driver of a minivan that went through a stop sign and collided with a motorcycle, driven by Richard Mennenga, 59, of Waverly. Both were initially taken to the Waverly hospital.
Bremer County sheriff's officials are still investigating the accident.
