A Look At Past Presidential Election Maps

As we still wait to see who won the 2020 election it's interesting to think back to what maps looked like for presidential candidates of the past.

There is a lot of history behind how America was made and ran over the years. We may even look back and wonder how some people became president. Hopefully this video and maps help.

What's most interesting to me is to see how well 3rd parties did at some points in time. Theodore Roosevelt even ran 3rd party once, getting a distant second place. People like FDR, Nixon, Regan, and others also really swept when the ran getting their Electoral votes into the high 400s and even low 500s!

American presidential history is a long, sometimes sad, and interesting  to look at and study. Hopefully you learned something new today.
